Summer is almost upon us — calendar summer, at least.  So far as the weather goes, I think most of us agree that summer is pretty much already here, which means it is time to get some new, cool clothes.  Different designers have different ideas about what the styles for the summer of 2009 should be, but for right now, we are going to focus on designer Chris Benz’s idea of summer cool and summer chic.

As you can see here, Benz is going for neutral and casual.  Those cool khaki capris will definitely keep you cool.  Khaki is a great color and great material for summer, since it does not attract heat.  However … is this really cool?

Actually, the reason I picked this particular designer and this particular outfit is because I have a question for you guys: should capris really be classified as cool?  Do we really want to be wearing them again?  For sure, if you do not have legs up to your chin, it is hard to pull them off and still look good.
