It can be hard to put together a good holiday wardrobe, because in addition to being a season full of thanks and giving and love, it is also a very expensive season. However, believe it or not, you do not have to spend an arm and a leg on clothes just to look fab at all those holiday parties.

First of all, have the classic LBD — little black dress — on hand. Better yet, have a few, one to cover fun, casual, and formal occasions.

The same goes for black skirts: short, medium, and long, to suit every possible type of occasion.

Pair these with good, classic tops: silk shirts, cashmere sweaters, luxurious sweater sets, and things of that nature.

Finally, go wild with your accessories: cute shoes, fine pieces of jewelry, scarves, coats, hats, and gloves in complementary jeweled tones.
